About Me

I've been playing for about 20 years but have never been a serious musician. I have never been in a band. I've only played one gig in my life, and that was at my high school senior banquet. The only reason we sounded any good was because the other band that played was really bad. Only in the past year have I started trying to become a better guitarist. I bought my first electric guitar and began learning scales and theory, etc. I'm amazed at how much I've learned in the past year. Maybe if I had tried this 20 years ago, I could have been a contender.

About Me

Now this is a site for me!!! It's great to see that there is someone out there keeping the "little guy" in mind.

I myself have a collection of guitars and basses which totals just over 50 pieces. There's a few amps and other related toys tossed in there as well. Once I get the chance to take a "class picture" of them all....I'll submit for viewing pleasure. Most of my collection is focused on Peaveys, Gibsons, Fenders, Danelectros, Epiphones, and a few miscellaneous brands. I started playing guitar in 1990, but never approached it with any real commitment. (I'm regretting that now) I picked up the bass about 8 years ago, as a result of a personnel shakeup with the band I was in. I think I'm actually more marketable on the bass than the guitar now. However, my first love is the six string, and it will always be. Nowadays, I get in on a few jam sessions with friends from time to time in order to shake off the rust....and there's plenty of it. Anyways...thanks for having me, and I'll see everyone around.

About Me

I'm a long time Southern Rocker who's a native Floridian.

I too bought a Chinese made Les Paul and I've been saying all along that they're being produced out of the Epi plant. My $225.00 baby that came with case and made it here in 3 days. I've had Les Paul owners who couldn't tell it was a fake and taken it to a local reknown luthier for setup and pickup and pot modifications. (I had him put Gibson "Dirty Fingers" on the bridge and neck and push pull volume pots for both). Really turned it into a screamer.

The luthier says its a high quality guitar even prior to the pickup mods and is baffled how this quality of an instrument can be produced and sold/shipped for so little.

About Me

I've been playing guitar, bass and a few other instruments since 1965.  After a successful period in the early eighties as a road musician I became a weekend warrior playing rock covers and doing fuctions, clubs and weddings.  I've finally put away the half stack and the sound system to focus on playing smooth jazz.

Onstage I use an Ibanez nylon acoustic electric, an Ibanez semi hollow body, an Ibanez full hollow body, a Musicman Silloughette, and an Ibanez Ergodyne bass.  All that goes through my Zoom G9.2tt into either my Carvin Bel Air 2X12 or my Carvin SX200 halfstack. I run my bass through a Carvin Pro Bass 300 into a Crate 2X10 with a piezo.

Body by Jeff Neville, Smits pickups. Sounds awesome.  I am an A/V tech by trade but love woodworking. Always wanted to learn guitar ..can't wait any longer.
