About Me
I've played guitar and bass guitar for 35+ years. I am in a band "These Guys Live" that plays Classic Rock in and around Columbus and Central Ohio. I play bass in the group. I have a nice collection of guitars and basses and I do most of my own repairs/set ups etc.... I use GK and Ampeg amps / cabs for bass, and I use Rotosound strings. For 6 string electric guitar I use Marshall amps / cabs and Ernie Ball strings. I have wound my own pickups (for guitar) in the past and enjoy all aspects of guitar building and playing. LOL! gotta love a good cop story. I'm actually a little disappointed when they don't show up. I guess I wasn't playing loud enuff eh?
Played a gig Halloween and the club owner walks up during soundcheck and places a decibel meter on the mixer and says, "I don't want to see it over 100." ROFLMAO! Everytime I looked it was between 107 and 115 and he kept bitching until... Our industrious soundman stuck a piece of rock-n-roll tape over part of the sound port on the end of the meter. It was reading around 88 and paint was peeling off the walls! The club owner finally came over and picked up the meter, and we could see him bitching and waving his arms and pointing at us. It was hilarious. After the show, he then booked us for two more gigs. |
